what this is not

likescore is not follower count, raw popularity, friendship, or a measure of human worth. It measures one narrow thing: the concentration, streak, and reciprocity of who repeatedly hits the like button on whose posts, recursively weighted by how prestigious the likers themselves are. A high score means "consistently liked by accounts that are themselves consistently liked" — nothing about quality, kindness, or being a good person. Scanning more accounts expands the graph, and expanding the graph can move every score and rank, including ones that weren't just rescanned — see the math below.
